VNIR203- VNIRTM Nile Red (lipid staining dye)
VNIRTM Nile Red is a highly solvatochromic fluorecent dye used to stain lipid membranes, lipid droplets, and hydrophobic regions of proteins. The dye is highly fluorecent in nonpolar/hydrophobic environment and non fluorescent in polar environments (like water). Nile red exhibits variance in emission wavelength depending on the environment.
